POSITION SUMMARY:
The Account Specialist is tasked with a positive and proactive “customer first” attitude amongst our customer base to ensure optimal satisfaction at all levels within the organization. This role will be involved in collaborative customer discussions, to identify and grow business opportunities while maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a portfolio of accounts across all business units, while assisting teammates with all customer needs.
• Work closely with both potential and existing customers to meet needs on goods and services and maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
• Develop retention strategies for the customer, conveying their vision to all internal teams, and working collaboratively to execute the plan.
• Improve customer experience, create engaged customers, and facilitate organic growth.
• Occasional travel to industry trade shows and product related events.
• Resolve customer complaints and address inquiries in a timely manner.
• Service Recovery – take ownership of escalated inquiries and attempt to turn around to a positive resolution.
• Effective interaction with all cross functional departments, such as materials, projects, production, logistics, sales, marketing, finance, and management.
• Provide support to account executives and help manage inputs to Quotations, Sales Follow-up, Invoices, etc. to ensure timely responses to the customer.
• Enter and manage sales orders for existing business and implementation of new projects.
• Review and analyze customer supplied forecasts and report any fluctuations in trends to relevant business unit stakeholders.
• Forecast and track key account metrics to ensure sales goals are established and met.
• Provide reports on account status and changes in booked sales to relevant business unit stakeholders.
• General Administration and Telephone Duties.
• Conduct hospitality activities for onsite customer visits.
• Manage and analyze customer feedback and provide strategic input to drive continuous improvement in the overall rating.
• Successfully prepare, direct and lead customer meetings, including face to face and web conferencing.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED*

• Minimum Associates degree in sales/marketing, business administration or related field.
• Preferred with 1 – 3 years of experience in a customer facing role

• Superior written, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and interact at all levels within the customer’s organization.
• Professional and positive attitude when communicating and interacting with internal and external customers.
• Strong ability to persuade, motivate and influence others.
• Ability to work independently but also multi-task in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, attention to detail and well organized.
• Demonstrated ability to follow through on details and input data into computer systems quickly and accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
